Texas Ebony cascade??

I have a texas ebony that is a natural (no changes in planting angle or serious branch bending) semi-cascade.
With clip and grow, it could grow into a full two stage cascade.
Has anyone seen this in nature? I don't want a "forced" effect.

The reason I am heavily attempting an approach graft is that I have 2 hibiscus plants that came in the same container and we

I found a HUGE wild trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) notably growing on a Willow oak in a cow field. It is about six or 7 inches in diameter. I saw one growing in a pot at the National Arboretum, so I figured it would grow good in container culture. Is this true for native trumpet vines? How well do they transplant....and how much of a root system do they require to come out with it? I think what

Late last fall I acquired a collected Chihuahua Pine, Pinus leiophylla v.
chihuahua. It had been in a 15-16" X 43" deep, oval Mica pot for about three years.
I repotted it this spring, in a 14-1/2" X 4-1/4" bunjin pot.
It has candles opening, bright, fresh grotesquely looking, dark green. It also has new growth from branches & branch tips that is a very light green.

After farther review I've found the thoery behind the cactus mix phenomenon here. Supposedly the coarse mix is bad for roots because it lets too much air into the root area. When it gets very hot that air heats up and cooks the roots. Whereas the dense cactus mix keeps the roots cool by staying wet and keeping too much hot air out away from the roots. By not showily allowing hot air to invade

If you have ever been to the English countryside, you shall know that the old farmland walls are made of large, rough stones, with gaps in the wall (so instead of blowing the wall down, wind pases through it - that's why these walls last so long).
I thought one day recentlly that if I grew an English tree, for instance a

I guess the question should be "how damp should my soil be?".
However, to the point...traditional wisdom tells us which our soil shuold be relatively "dry" when wiring. For example, Tom Zane says in his Syllabus (4th ed., 2001) which the soil "...should be relatively dry..."; and, Deborah
Koreshoff says the soil should be "dryish" (to the point that it is due for watering),
