Any tips for style or prunning
This is my first bonsai tree and I did my homework on how to care for it through out the year (I pay close attention to detail, anybody who spent time in the mil has heard those words). But Im still a little clueless or when to trim new growth and how much. Its been almost a month since Ive had it and it seems to be growing already. The creeping branch on the left as well is getting longer. I think it might be a good specimen for a cascading style. What should I do with this little guy?
I hope the pic loads Im not the best with cpus

Depending on how flexible the branches are, I think a formal upright style is also possible, since the trunk is kinda straight...Just cut the trailing branches and wire one up. Just a thought...

Hmmm the only branches with any flex to them are the lateral branches. If I wanted to cascade it do i have to wire it down or will gravity be enough to make it drop?

If you wanted to do cascade, you'd definitely have to change the growing angle so the trunk isn't so striaght up and down. More pics would help too.

Hi Tony, you have a nice tree, it's young and at this point could go almost any direction you want. A semi-cascade would be my choice. That's the natural tendency of the tree to start with and it looks to have been trained to grow that way. The other tree that pops out at me is a small upright. Picture it without the two long lower limbs and there's a nice little tree standing there. I'd be glad to help once you decide.
