    Black pussywillows for bonsai ?

A nursery near me has several "Black Pussywillows" in three gal pots witch they are going to let go cheap ... In fact I have never heard of these for bonsai, so i didnt leap on them. I gotten a nice ilex deciduosa & an odd boxwood though. Any words of encouragement or discouragement on the Black Pussywillow ?

The botanical name is Salix gracilidselineata 'Melanostachys.' It is hardy to
Zone 4 or 5. Meanwhile they have beautiful ridiculously red flowers in February or March. I have heard of it entirely being used for bonsai. Give it a try.
