    My Bonsai's branches are brown-ish

Ok, so I am really new to the bonsai scene. I bought mine from a street vendor, and he told me it was a juniper, four years old. I took it home, and it has been fine for a couple months now. But in the last few weeks the branches have gone a kind of dry and brittle brown. It's only the long branches, though, and the foliage still is very green. I know what a dying pine tree looks like, but I don't know if a dying juniper bonsai looks the same way. Help?inch:

can you take a picture of the soil, often times, street vendors and walmart.. ect. will glue rocks to the surface. and that is bad. it there are rocks glued to the surface, take them off immediately. im not sure how to do that, but someone else will...

There are no rocks glued on to the surface. The soil kind of looks the way soil does in a real conifer forest. It's got little pieces of bark in it and it is pretty light in color. I read on another forum that I should put the tree outside. I did that, and checked to make sure the root system was not locked up. Everything looks well, but the color of the branches worries me...

Yes junipers are an out door tree only, put your juniper out doors under shade no sun, this will let the tree recover, it will still get light from out side in the shade, test the soil to make sure the soil does not dry out, if the tree is not already dead it will come back to life, when you see new growth then give the juniper morning sun only from the east sise of the house, it should not need more sun then that.....

Sounds good. I'm surprised that the Vendor I got the tree from did not say that Junipers are outdoor only. Well, thank you for the insight.
