    Orange seedling

    Just letting you know I have an orange seedling growing( actually it's from a Clementine) I planted 8 about 2 months ago this is the only one that has grown so far. It's about an inch high And as of today 5 days old .

    How about that good for you , now in about 4 years you will be growing fruit.

    Thanks Mikey,

    Since I posted this I have had more seeds sprout. Although not the same type. The new ones are really Miniature oranges. The one I got the seeds from was only an inch in diameter. It had four seeds in it and I planted them about six or seven days ago. Now I have four more sprouts. I have searched on the net for the species and what I have come up with is something called a Calamondin. Another Forum told me it was a Fortunella Hindii, but the discription of Fortunella is nothing like the plant I snatched this little beauty from.     Cant wait to see photos, you will want large pots the roots will grow fast, with in 4 to 6 months if you are going to wire any of them do it before then, or you will brake them, you can transplant after you see 4 leaves......

    The third picture is of the Calamondin seedlings taken this morning at about 4 days the one at the top seems to be haveing a problem. I expect to loose it.

    Any of them that grow white will die this happens a lot with citrus fruit, looking good so far....
