Species of my tree? - 2008/12/24 21:37 Hello. I bought a tree for my dad for Christmas this year, and I read that different species have to be cared for in different ways. And I was wondering if anyone could identify which species of tree it is? Or if anyone has a good resource for figuring it out, a website of some sort, that would also be great. Thank you

Re:Species of my tree? - 2008/12/25 00:02 Hi, welcome to the forum spacecowboy. Your tree is one of the many varieties of Juniper. It looks great there on the table, but it must not be kept indoors. They are hardy outdoors with a few precautions, depending on where you live. Protect it from the cold wind and driven snow mostly, and if it freezes hard there you can wrap the pot in burlap or thermal wrap.
